Stian – Immensely Sophisticated Album

February 28th, 2010 d3x No comments

As mentioned earlier my album should now be available for purchase across the board. That means iTunes, Nokia Music Store, Naptser, emusic, Rhapsody, Amazon, Spotify and others.

If you should happen to live in a country not covered by these services, or are just plain broke, you can check out the music on Jamendo.com!

Now reading: The First Men in the Moon

“I trired to point out that this was dangerous for some reason that was not perfectly clear to me, but the word ‘dangerous’ had somehow got mixed with ‘indiscreet,’ and came out rather more like ‘injurious’ than either; and after an attempt to distangle them, I resumed my argument, addressing myself principally to the unfamiliar but attentive coralline growths on either side. I felt that it was necessary to clear up this confusion between the moon and a potato at once – I wandered into a long paranthesis on the importance of precision of definition in argument. I did my best to ignore the fact that my bodily sensations were no longer agreeable.”

The First Men in the Moon, by HG Wells

Oh yeah, I don’t “just” doodle

February 12th, 2010 d3x No comments

I am creative in more then one way. Not only do I draw and paint, I play with instruments and sounds and make what some people call music. Earlier this week I uploaded an album to be distributed to online stores and services such as iTunes, AmazonMP3 and Spotify. The releasedate is set to February 28th, and come that day there will appear an amazing player in this very blog, quite magically.

Now the reason for me uploading this album, which in reality you can download absolutely free and straight away, is that my sister and the band she plays in has just laid down the finishing touches on their album and are releasing soon and will need to get it online in an easy and far reaching manner. My sister is also working on her solo album, and will be needing the same services when that is done. So who better to make sure the internets knows about her music then her loving brother?

So, that’s the explanation for why I would submit my music to iTunes and the likes when you can just download it on Jamendo for absolutely free. Check out the music by Tine Hole and Bobleplast for some actual music and not just plinkiplonkplong.

Playing around with brushes

February 1st, 2010 d3x No comments

Brushes is a small application for iPhone and iPod Touch that lets you fingerpaint without getting your device full of paintstains. This is what my first painting looks like, just scratching the surface and doing something easy.

These are three of my paintings with angry and angsty robots on the. The first is “Robot i solnedgang”, which is Norwegian for “Robot in sunset”, inspired by classical “Moose in sunset” paintings.
